Priority:  To ensure all legislative Republican priorities are given a fair opportunity to become law, the Republican-controlled Texas legislature shall adopt a rule that would end the practice of awarding committee chairmanships to Democrats. Sub-Committee Chair David Wylie

Report: Ban Democrat Chairs, could not be achieved by legislation, but rather Speaker Phelan’s initiative or a members’ vote on the House rules. As predicted, Democrat House chairs did kill RPT priority bills. But, to be fair, Republican House chairs also killed priority bills.
