Bar-W Meeting and 16th Anniversary

The Bulverde Area Republican Women’s club celebrated it’s 16th year at the January 14, 2019 meeting with a giant red velvet cake. SREC Committeeman Mark Dorazio swore in the new club officers: Kaci Sisk, president, Diane Zornow, 1st Vice President of Programs, Judy Wilken, 2nd Vice President of Membership, Diane Moore, 3rd Vice President of Campaign Activities, Liz Jeffrey, Recording/Corresponding Secretary, Gloria Hawkins, PAC Treasurer. Then Mark gave a Legislative Priorities Committee update to the club. The club’s legislative committee chair wore a bright yellow safety vest. This was in solidarity with the people protesting in France against elitist politicians out of touch with the hardships endured by average citizens due to expensive policies. “El Conservador,” George Rodriguez, gave the keynote, speaking on immigration and border security, making points such as “History is very politically incorrect.” and “Immigration and racism aren’t related to border security.” After he spoke, Diane Zornow presented him with a book to sign, Marlon Bundo’s A Day in the Life of the Vice President, to be donated to a local school library.

Bulverde Area Republican Women is excited to announce its upcoming fundraising event, Sunset and Salsas.

Saturday, October 14th, 2017

Enjoy fellowship, food, beverages, live music, and fun. Oh yeah, and an incredible view provided by Commissioner Jen and Dr. Michael Crownover at their home, as the sun sets over the hilltops high across western Comal County!

As part of the fun, several of the Bar-W men will be mixing up their own salsa recipes for all to taste and designated Judges will vote on their favorites. The salsa with the most votes will get its “chef” crowned the KING OF THE SALSA COURT.

Bar-W Meeting June 12, 2017

SD 25 SREC Committeeman Mark Dorazio spoke to the great Republicans of the Bulverde Area Republican Women on June 12 at the GVTC Auditorium. It was fun to see one of the club’s scholarship recipients, Abigail Freund, accept it as her proud mother, a member of Bar-W, happily observed. President Geri Ray presented a copy of “Our Last Constitution” to be donated to the local high school library for Mark to sign. Also during the meeting the club’s Teenage Republican Liaison, Sandy Hancock, was “spotlighted” for her super volunteer work. At the end of the meeting Tex loaned his hat to use for the drawing for Republican Party of Texas Sesquicentennial challenge coins Mark had commissioned.
